Otherwise, nothing much else is known about the car, including whether or not it will even be called a Veyron Grand Super Sport.

In a previous interview the boss of Bugatti, Wolfgang Durheimer, said the 1,200 horsepower W-16 engine of the Bugatti Veyron Super Sport was not compatible with the body of the Veyron Grand Sport, though a more powerful version of the open-top supercar had not been ruled out.

The spy shots confirm this somewhat, revealing a Veyron Super Sport body fitted with regular cooling ducts from the Veyron Grand Sport on its roof instead of the more extreme NACA ducts pictured below.


Expect output of this new model to lie somewhere between the 1,001 horsepower of the regular Veyron Grand Sport and 1,200 horses of the Veyron Super Sport.
